Located in Okinawa City’s Kaiho area, Tsururinko is a soba shop that offers a variety of dishes, and is usually filled with local customers. Fully enjoy their flavorful pork-bone (tonkotsu) broth, carefully blended with chicken, bonito, and konbu (kelp) stock. The texture of the Okinawa soba noodles and flavor of the soup create an exquisite combination! Tsururinko’s ¥600 “Teishoku of the Day” (meal set) also comes with Okinawa soba, and is a popular choice among customers.

Sakae Shokudo栄食堂

You’ll find Sakae Shokudo at the fork in the road, 30 meters east of Ageda intersection on route 330. Established in 1967, this long-standing hole-in-the-wall restaurant (only able to fit 12 people in all with) is representative of Koza of that generation. Many locals find the atmosphere of Sakae Shokudo cozy and comfortable, as if they were eating at home or grandma’s house. You may be surprised at the variety of dishes they have to offer! You can enjoy a variety of "Okinawan-American" foods as well. On top of that, their prices are reasonable and easy on the wallet. Even throughout the immense change and turmoil Koza has gone through, Sakae Shokudo has succeeded in preserving the original taste of their Okinawa soba.
